Only Girl has been on our radar for a while now, but it's her latest pop ingrained R&B cut, 'Remains', which has brought out the best in South East Londoner's songwriting chops. An ode to her boyfriend, who suffered a life-threatening brain trauma - but is now thankfully in recovery - 'Remains' has all of the hallmarks of a Jessie Ware single; rousing choral harmonies, powerhouse solos and slick, sweeping instrumentals. But it's the outpouring of heart and emotion in Ellen Murphy's delivery which really sets this one aside from Ware's canon. It's probably the most personal, confessional track you'll hear this summer. - DC
